Vision

"Our goal is to create a fun relaxed environment that captures personality; but we strive to avoid a canned studio look. I'm partial to "staged candids"; the situation may be contrived, but expressions are very real. In other words, flattering studio light can only do so much... (an awkward smile is always an awkward smile), says owner/photographer, Wesley Maggs. "Whether in the studio, at a wedding or on location, I strive to capture real emotions. The only way to get a great shot is to get people to relax and be themselves.", says Wes.

Studio

Now open in Pennichuck Square (beside Giorgio's) in Milford! We are above the new Magic Flute Child in the old Golf USA building. In the studio we specialize in fine portraiture, but we are set up for commercial shoots, too. Babies, kids, high school seniors and professional head shots.

We are located on the second floor above Magic Flute Child. Appointments for photo sessions are available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 until 2:00pm. If you want to take a chance, feel free to drop in. We'd love to meet you.

Weddings

Our goal is to tell the story of the day; there are so many wonderful moments that disappear forever if nobody catches them. There are few events that provide so many great photo opportunities as a wedding! So much time and effort into planning every detail, so much emotion, and so many subjects!

Our style is probably best described as photojournalist; however, we recognize that portraits of bridal parties and families are important to a lot of people, too! "My philosophy is that portrait sessions should be fun... Timing is everything; big group portrait sessions have to be done efficiently. People being asked to wait around can get antsy quickly! Antsy subjects don't take good photos. Besides, who wants to wait around when there is a party to get to!

Choosing a wedding photographer(s) is not a decision that should be taken lightly! Aside from the obvious considerations (like style and cost) it is so important to find a photographer that both bride and groom are comfortable with). "The photographer is with the bride and groom through much of the big day; so it's kind of a good idea to work with someone you like having around!", says Wes.
